GMAT句子改错题(sentence

选项分析：

(A)Marconi's conception of the radio was as a substitute for the telephone, a

【错误】

简洁明了：在GMAT语法题中表达同一个意思时，简洁性从高到低依次为动词、形容词和副词、一般名词、动名词(简称VANing原则：V——verb，A——adj.或adv.，N——noun，ing——动名词)，因此本选项简洁性逊于使用动词“conceived”的(C)。

【错误】 平行结构：“but”两边应连接平行结构(语法功能一致，逻辑含义对等)，但本选项中“which

解题思路：

(B)中“but”两边不平行，立即排除。

即便不知道“conceive sth.

as”的搭配，通过语义分析可知(C)中“conceive”接“as(作为)”表意优于(D)、(E)中“conceive”接“to

be(会是)”，排除(D)、(E)。

(C)比(A)更加简洁，因此选择(C)。

需要说明的是，C中的“it”指代并不是十分明确，但指代不明的问题属于相对错误，如果五个选项中不存在能够合理规避指代不明问题的选项，那么我们只能接受有轻微指代不明，没有其他错误的选项。
