My best friend, Linda, is regarded as a language genius. She is the head of our school’s English Radio. When I pass by the office of English Radio Station, I’m always attracted by her beautiful and unique voice. Our favorite school English program is run by her, so we can hear her voice in campus every day. In this program, she will recommend some foreign songs as well as some famous literature to us. Besides, she will tell us both international and domestic news during the lunch break time. She is not only good at English but also fluent in Spanish. Last summer vacation, a group of Spanish students came to visit our school and she was one of the students who were their pairs. She could communicate with these students like a native speaker, which was the reason why I admire her. I once asked her about the methods of learning English well. She told me that watching foreign drama, listening to BBC news and talking to native speakers online would help me a lot to improve my oral English. That is something I should learn from her. I hope I can master a foreign language like her, since I would like to go abroad for further study. If I study abroad, I need to talk to the local people, so it’s a necessary skill in the future. Otherwise I cannot blend in the local culture. I need to make more efforts to learn English and if I have any questions, I can ask Linda for help.
