My friends always think of me as a warm-hearted and helpful person.　I guess I

got that personality from my parents who have set a really good example to me.

They always say that a simple act of kindness can create a ripple that comes

back to me. Actually, I don’t have a purpose when I do others a favor. It just

feels great knowing that I could be of some help.

One day, on my way home after school, I saw an old lady standing at the

corner of the street, looking worried. She constantly looked around, which

seemed like she was looking for something. I thought she lost her stuff, so I

came up to her, you know, to see if I could help. But it turned out she was

lost, I mean, she couldn’t find her way home, and the worst part was, she

couldn’t even remember her home address. I realized she must be one of those

senior citizens who have got the Alzheimer’s disease. So I tried to find the

yellow wristband, which is something the government give out to those patients

with their relative’s contact number on it. But unfortunately, she wasn’t

wearing one. I called the police, and they took her to the police station. So I

left knowing that she was in good hands. I’m sure the policeman would help her

find her family.

I suppose I’ve benefit a lot from this personality. I have a great

interpersonal relationship at school, and whenever I’m in trouble, my friends

are all willing to help me out. That’s why I think being helpful is really a

good personality of mine.
