What the thing was
When you borrowed it
Whom you borrowed it from
And explain why you borrowed the thing.
I borrowed an American novel A Song of Ice and Fire from my classmate three years ago at the price of one term’s cover for her during the roll call.
My greatest interest when I am free is reading. I like books in general, but English novel is my great weakness. I do a lot of wandering through book stores and libraries for some free reading because original books sometimes sell at a bleeding high price I cannot afford.
I’m a big big fan of A Song of Ice and Fire.It is a series of epic fantasy novels by an American novelist Itis a superb saga. The story of A Song of Ice and Fire takes place in a fictional world in which seasons last for years on end. The principal story chronicles a power struggle for the Iron Throne of Westeros after King Robert's death. The novels captivate me with complex story lines, fascinating characters, great dialogue, perfect pacing, and the willingness to kill off even the writer’s major characters. I finished reading the four books of the volume in just ten days and I even dreamed about the plots because of my unstoppable urge to know the leading characters’ fates. The fifth and most recent of which, A Dance with Dragons was all I wanted to get but the price of it on the e-bookstore made me cry—it would cost me 210 yuan to own it.That’s a fortune for me at that time.
But God bless me, out of nowhere, my classmate unwillingly mentioned that he have bought the book but he refused to lend it to me in fear of any damage to the book. It took a while before I got the chance to gently touch and smell the book in private when I said ok to his blackmail about covering for her in every roll call for the whole term, so tha the could skipped some lessons to do something else.
So there begun another great journey of read.
