1.What are children’s habits?
The most common and bad habit of children is that they tend to eat quite a
lot of sugar, even before going to bed, and they do not brush their teeth
habitually. Another bad habit is that they tend to bite their nails because they
are at the stage of developing and grinding their teeth. That habit can easily
make the vulnerable kids sick.
2.What are the changes of adults’ habits?
Adults in the current society are leading a healthier life. In the past,
adults just indulged themselves in smoking and drinking and other unhealthy life
habits. If they felt worried, they smoked one cigarette after another and were
drunk to the world in contrast with the fact that nowadays adults will choose to
relieve pressures by having a cup of coffee and talking to their friends.
3.What’s your daily routine?
How could parents develop their children’s good habits?
What are the changes of adults’ habits today compared with that in the
past?
Will people’s habits change when they are older?
What good habits should children have?
Do you think your habits will change in the future when you are older?
This is the question set for me because I am a well-organized woman. I have
two schedules, one for weekdays and another for weekends. On weekdays, I get up
at about seven thirty, dress and make up myself for half an hour then I go to
the subway station for work. I will firstly read a piece of news in English for
half an hour before I begin a day’s work. On weekends, I will go out with my
boyfriend and my parents for fun, such as shopping, watching a film or having a
cup of coffee.
4.How could parents develop their children’s good habits?Yes, parents should
shoulder the responsibility of helping their kids develop good habits. They
should teach children how to have a clear perception of a huge task and have the
tendency to cut that task into small pieces. Additionally, parents should also
set a fixed time for kids to go to bed, so that they won’t stay late doing
homework due to procrastination.
5.What are the changes of adults’ habits today compared with that in the
past?
Adults in the current society are leading a healthier life. In the past,
adults just indulged themselves in smoking and drinking and other unhealthy life
habits. If they felt worried, they smoked one cigarette after another and were
drunk to the world in contrast with the fact that nowadays adults will choose to
relieve pressures by having a cup of coffee and talking to their friends.
6.Will people’s habits change when they are older?
Well, it depends on
individuals. Some people are strong-willed, so they might alter some bad habits
and have a healthier life later when they are old. For example, there is an old
gentleman living in our neighborhood. He used to smoke a lot. But when the
medical examination report revealed that almost half of his lungs were already
blackened, he determined to abandon smoking and to our surprise he made it.
7.What good habits should children have?
Kids need to be taught to study by
themselves, I guess. They should form the habit of satisfying their own
curiosity and finding the answers by checking various books in the children
section of a library. In addition, they need to know the importance of being
polite, not just to their parents and grandparents but also to their classmates
and friends.
8.Do you think your habits will change in the future when you are older?
When
I am growing old, I will choose to change some habits but not all of them. I
will keep studying for two hours every day to keep up with the times, which will
not be altered because the habit stays me in a very good condition. But the
studying time might be different since older people seem to get up earlier, so I
might not stay up late any more at that age and tend to focus on complicated
tasks in the morning.
9.Are people who have daily routine less creative? Is it common in China?
No, I don’t think. It still depends on individuals. If a person himself is
lazy and does not have access to the latest information, then even a freelance
writer or a composer can be dull and plain as ordinary people. In contrast, if a
person always thinks about the working process and considers how to be
productive, even a worker on assembly lines can make great inventions and
contributions to the society.
10.Do you want to share your good habits with your friends?
Yes, that is the most wonderful thing in life I guess. For example, Shirley
is one of my best friends and both of us are into finding the secret of losing
weight. I am into eating less while she is fond of working out in the gym. We
will discuss which method is more effective and efficient, and we finally come
to an agreement that dinner should be skipped and aerobics should be done
moderately. Both of us are quite slim now.
11.What are habits of different countries in different situations?
Many things can differ in habits because of nationalities. Eating habits are
the most prominent distinction. For example, Chinese love to have meals with
chopsticks, British prefer to use knives and forks, while Indians choose to eat
with bare hands. Besides, greeting habits also differ a lot. For Westerner who
are generally more outgoing, hugging or kissing on cheeks are only a way to show
love and respect while Easterner will prefer to keep a distance, so usually a
hand shake and a nod with smile will already do.
12.Which kind of good habits are the most important for children?
Kids need to be taught to study by themselves, I guess. They should form the
habit of satisfying their own curiosity and finding the answers by checking
various books in the children section of a library. By doing so, parents do not
need to worry about their kids’ academic performance, because it is only a
matter of time before they acquire a certain level of knowledge.
13.Which kind of habits cannot be changed when you are older?
As I have mentioned, studying for two hours every day is what cannot be
changed. Without doing so, I can hardly sleep sound at night. Apart from that,
it is hard for me to get rid of coffee I guess. I have tried to focus without
coffee, but I failed. The period of two years is already enough for me to keep
having a cup of coffee in the morning as the essential part of my life, let
alone sixty or seventy years.
