Well, I would like to particularly talk about a TV program that I have been

watching since Iwas a little kid called “Action English”.

I think it’s really hard to say what kind of program it is since it teaches

you certain thingsin English but it’s also very entertaining. It starts at 6

p.m. everyday, and I still rememberthat when I was still in middle school, on

weekends or holidays, I would just grab a pen and anotebook, sit in front of the

television 15 minutes earlier and wait for the show.

There are three parts in the program. The first part introduces some classic

movies and thehost will pick out some slang from the script and explain the

meaning of them. Then he willmake some examples of the slang and repeat it for a

few times. As for me, I’m just busy takingdown notes every time. And the second

part is always my favorite one since it’s all about music.The host will

introduce an English song including its background information, lyrics and

thestory line. I think it always feels different when you listen to a song and

know exactly what it’stalking about. Last but not least, in the third part, the

host will introduce some western culturethat we never have a chance to know.

It’s just so vivid that makes me want to be there oneday and see for myself!

Well, the reason that I regard this program as my favorite one is that it not

only providesme with a relaxing and productive time during the holidays but

triggers my interest towardslearning English as well. It shows me the way of

learning English from what I really love such asmusic and movies, after all,

interest is the best teacher!
