The immediate consideration pertains to the knowledge to which the

difficulty is related.← 这样的措辞听起来严肃正式，不宜;而更推崇听起来自然的措辞→ Theimmediate consideration

is whether I have reliable knowledge to which the difficulty is related.

放入场景里描述(增加篇幅、营造“画面感”)：When a classmate has confusion and turns to me for

answers, the classmate expects me to be the solution. I may have some knowledge,

but I may be uncertain that what I know is true. Also, it is not unlikely that I

am confident in my misconceptions and tell them as the truth. Obviously,

thepuzzled classmate would not want to take the chances. ← 对比→ By contrast, a

professional tutor, on the knowledge level, has better or absolute credibility,

since the tutor would not be qualified for the job if he or shewere not

correct about the knowledge, may be unable to provide effective help. The

the grammar of the English language but I am not articulate when I try to

explain to a peer student the intricacies in the relationship between the

elements. My lack of the ability to effectivelydeliver those ideas makes me no

help my classmate needs. ← 对比 → At this point, my classroom should seek help

from a professional tutor, who must possess teaching expertise as part of the

professional qualification.

Body

I may have the knowledge, but I am a layman in teaching. For example, the

classmate may seek my help when he or she encounters mathematical difficulties.

Although I excel at solving equations and drawing curves, I cannot offer the

help needed, because I have no idea about how my k←←←nowledge can be effectively

delivered. I may explain a lot, and little of my explanation helps. At this

point, the classmate is advised to find a tutor who has expertise in

teaching.

Even though I may be certain about the knowledge and possess some skills in

teaching, I may be the last person the classmate should turn to. The knowledge

and skills do not qualify me for the matter, because I may not have adequate

patience or strong motivation to offer continued help. Especially when the

incentive is lacking, I may quit anytime. ← 形成对比 → In the case of the

professional tutor, which is different from mine, it is a job, which pays. At

the bare minimum level, which for the sake of money, the professional has to

remain patient and is motivated to keep doing the job until it is done. Driven

by good work ethics, the professional stays in the job till there is some

result.
