Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is better to use

your own knowledge and experience to solve problems than to ask other people for

advice.

1、(开门见山摆出自己的观点，用虚拟语气) Should I meet a problem difficult to solve, I would

turn to others like my close friends or colleagues for advice.

(第二句话解释第 一句话，也就是概括下文分论点) This is not only because their advice can inspire me to

see things from a more global view, but also because this is a polite manner

whereby my peers may feel respected and valued. (第三句话说明为什么不选另外一个选项) Contrarily,

if I completely depend on my own knowledge and experience, solutions occurring

to me are highly likely to be biased. (最后不妨再直接回应一下问题) Hence, I disagree with

what the statement says.

2、Of numerous perplexing problems, the ones that confused me most tended to

be about teamwork. I often found it hard to mediate conflicts and frictions

between team members until recently, when I began to listen to each members’

advice before addressing such problems. Keeping my ears open, I am now able to

identify their varying expectations and where their disagreements are. In this

way, the final solutions I give can therefore cater to each members’ needs,

simplifying the problem-solving process. Moreover, through collecting advice, I

give my full respect to them, meanwhile displaying an objective attitude. It

turns out such gesture increases my peers’ willingness to cooperate when it

comes to actual problem-solving phase, and this largely facilitates the

problem-solving process. (别忘了体现出题中未选择的一方的弊端) However, things were different when

I blindly trusted my know-how to approach such problem. I was so intolerant and

set in my ways that I often ignore ideas and views that did not conform to to my

limited view. As a result, deemed as a domineering person who would give

one-sided solutions, I unsurprisingly failed to find any settlement, because I

had neither comprehensive considerations nor support from my peers. The lesson

was therefore learned.

others’ suggestions, which may not necessarily prove relevant in

problem-solving. (依旧进入转折) However, I do not therefore choose not to seek advice

from others, nor do I solely depend on my own intelligence to solve problems.

(积累短句式) The rationale behind it is rather simple. (但即使这样，也还是可以选择我们支持的观点的) By

seeking advice from friends in my immediate circle, I disclose our dilemmas or

puzzles to them. As instant solutions are not promised, my peers at least know I

am in need, so they would actively use their resources to find other possible

solutions, which significantly increase the likelihood of effective problem

solving. (再次提及未选择的一方的对应劣势) If I kept my problems to myself or tried to solve

them on my own, I would get little support, and the problem-solving process

would be complicated.

4、In conclusion, problems are easier met than solved, and when we meet

them, it is better to turn to our friends for advice than to use our own

knowledge to solve them.
