综合写作一直是托福写作高分的重要突破口。相比难拿高分/满分的独立写作，综合写作的评分更加简单-还原听力原文。从数据统计来看，听力在22分以上的同学，综合写作都有机会拿到满分。还有极端案例-去年暑假，一位同学在阅读听力都没有突破15分的情况下，写作拿到了27分（综合写作GOOD，独立写作FAIR）。所以，综合写作的练习，请大家一定要重视。但是，TPO的难度已经追不上和真实考试题目的难度了。除了少数的几篇TPO，大部分都比较简单，尤其不建议同学们冲刺阶段做TPO 40以后的综合写作，都偏简单。所以，如果能够像独立写作一样，有真题的练习，更容易帮助我们发现听力的逻辑和细节漏洞，才能进步。

Modern humans first arrived in Great Britain during the Paleolithic era. But until the arrival of the Romans in the 1st century BC, there was no historical record. With the fall of the Roman Empire, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings migrated to Great Britain. In 1066, the Normans successfully took control of England and in subsequent years, there was also some migration from France. In the 19th century, immigration by people from outside of Europe began on a small scale as people arrived from the British colonies, most of whom were not of British blood. All information points to the fact that English people are actually descendants of immigrants from other European countries.

First, immigrants enjoy a large population in England. From time to time in the history of the country, many people from different European countries immigrated to England for various reasons, such as wars or famine. Therefore, immigrants comprise a large portion of the population in England.

Second, modern English originated from the language of the immigrants, and was not the native language from the very beginning. It originated in those dialects of North Sea Germanic and was brought to Britain by Anglo-Saxon people from Germanic tribes.

Finally, DNA testing proves that the DNA of people in eastern English towns is almost identical to that of immigrants from countries such as Denmark and Germany. This is undeniable proof that England is a settled nation much like the Americans, since the results of the DNA testing are quite convincing.

Taken together, it is very likely that English people are descendants of the immigrants. Population, the language and the DNA testing are all convincing evidence for this theory.
